Glass Forehearth
WANGCHEN Glass Forehearth systems are designed to condition molten glass as it flows from the melting furnace to the gob feeder. Drawing on years of professional design experience, we provide customized forehearth solutions according to each customer's production capacity, glass composition and product requirements.
The system combines controlled heating, top and bottom cooling, and independent cooling arrangements to help achieve uniform and stable glass temperature distribution. Its thermal conditioning design supports consistent gob formation and reliable downstream glass container production.
Product Features
- Customized forehearth design based on individual production requirements and glass product types.
- Silicon carbide (SiC) rod radiant heating for controlled thermal conditioning, where specified in the system design.
- Automatic heating control to compensate for temperature variations along the forehearth.
- Controlled top and bottom cooling to help maintain the required glass temperature profile.
- Longitudinal temperature conditioning designed to reduce temperature differences across the glass flow.
- Siemens PLC and high-efficiency PID temperature control for automated operation.
- Thermocouple or infrared temperature measurement options, depending on the selected configuration.
- Designed to support stable glass gob quality and consistent downstream forming performance.
